I believe

I choose to believe;

In people,

For there is a chance. They might outshine themselves

 

Fundamentally we all are similar if not same

We breathe the same air, we want the same things at the end of the day and do the same things

.

I still choose to believe

Because every single one of us differs from the other

In ways not obvious,

The difference there lies in the subtleties

Of how they change their demeanor when on guard,

How their faces have been carved by the life changing incidents they witnessed

The way their anger boils up and cools down.

Even two identical twins differ greatly from each other,

Even after sharing one womb, one home, and one father.

I choose to believe that we can count on each other,

And

Even if

How things eventually turn out may not be different every time.

I will continue to believe that my fellows here still have a heart

And they can believe in me too....
